Glossy Interface

Yet another one of my longer tutorials yet I believe, even those new to Photoshop will be able to easily finish this and learn to give depth to an interface.

So let's begin, shall we? Here is a screenshot of the final.

To begin, create a new canvas at a size of 500 x 258 with Black as your color. Then double click the background layer in the Layers Palette and click OK. This will unlock the layer for the next step..

Now right click on the background layer in the Layers Palette and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on " Gradient Overlay".

Do not click "OK" yet. Still more to do.
  Now click on "Pattern Overlay".
  use settings at left
You may now click OK.
You should now have the below image.
Next, select the "Elipse Tool". Draw a circle as illustrated using White as the color. Name this layer "Player Frame".

Next we will need to move the left anchor point of the "Player Frame" layer. To do this select the "Direct Selection Tool" and select the left anchor point as I have done below. Now, using the right arrow key and "Shift" key on your keyboard, move that anchor point to the right as indicated below.
Now right click on the "Player Frame" layer in the Layers Palette and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on " Drop Shadow ".
  use settings at left
Do not click "OK" yet. Still more to do.
  Now click on "Inner Glow".

Now "Ctrl" click the "Player Frame" layer to create a selection around it. Then, go to the main menu and click on "Select" then "Modify" and then "Contract". Contract by 8 and click "OK". Create a new layer, named "Display" and fill with 604a27. Now deselect the selection.
